In 1996, a small company had a big idea: companies would not host their own websites, but would instead outsource to specialized web hosting providers. The three founders of Hiway Technologies chose Bravo! because we understood this vision and would work with them to pursue it relentlessly.

We positioned Hiway as the leader in the space by claiming and demonstrating their leadership in number of customers. Hiway’s revenue was driven entirely by advertising, and the campaigns we developed drove the firm’s spectacular growth in new customers.

     
  Strategic Insight  
 

While Hiway was growing very fast, we recognized that the Internet was growing even faster. This meant in spite of their success, Hiway’s market share was eroding out from under them.

We worked with Hiway to invent and roll out RapidSite, a virtual web hosting reseller program, in over 80 countries. RapidSite soon grew to account for more than 50% of Hiway’s total sales, and put them firmly in the leadership position in web hosting.

We brought Hiway from 3 people to the brink of a public offering. Their prospectus was literally on the press when Verio made Hiway an extremely attractive acquisition offer.

We grew Hiway’s customer base from a handful of domains to over 170,000.

RapidSite became the number 1 or 2 hosting provider in Latin America, England, France, Germany and Australia.

We maintained Hiway’s price point at $24.95/mo for over 3 years, creating sustained profitability and maximizing the firm’s value at acquisition.
